PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording sheet imparting high developed color density, forming an image having a sharp hue, having excellent weatherability over a long period of time, generating no deterioration phenomenon in a thermal head at the time of recording. SOLUTION: In the thermal recording sheet wherein a thermal recording layer containing a color forming agent and a developer and a protective layer containing a resin and a pigment are provided on the surface of a support, the protective layer contains a water soluble polymeric substance comprising a copolymer consisting of 1-70 mol% of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of a benzotriazole compound having a polymerizable double bond, a benzophenone compound having a polymerizable double bond, a benzotriazine compound having a polymerizable double bond and a hindered amine compound having a polymerizable double bond and 30-99 mol% of a vinyl monomer having a nonionic hydrophilic functional group. |
