PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operator with various items of information through the sense of touch without depending on the sense of sight. SOLUTION: This operating switch device and this tactile interface device comprise a base 11 with magnets 12-15 arranged in such a way that polarities alternate, a frame 25 movable with respect to the base for mounting coils 21-24, and a push-button-type switch 31 fixed to the frame 25. An operating part drive control means makes a current flow in a predetermined direction in the coils 21-24 to displace the switch 31 in a two-dimensional direction so as to create a pattern according to the contents of information to be conveyed to the operator. The operator obtains the information from the switch 31 through the sense of touch.
