PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a three-dimensional image of skin with high resolution of a cell level regarding a three-dimensional image generation apparatus for the skin with which the three-dimensional image of the skin is generated by using a confocal microscope. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image generation apparatus is provided with a scanning confocal microscope 2 in which a laser beam is horizontally scanned with reference to the skin 4 to irradiate the skin and with which reflected light reflected at a position at a prescribed depth of the skin 4 is received to obtain the plane image of the skin at the prescribed position at the prescribed depth on the basis of the intensity of the reflected light, a three- dimensional voxel generation means by which plane images of the skin 4 at a plurality of depths of the skin 4 obtained by the microscope 2 are piled up to generate a three-dimensional voxel and an image generation means by which the three-dimensional image is generated on the basis of the three-dimensional voxel.
