PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for patterning a cloth with a design of conventionally nonexisting feeling. SOLUTION: This method comprises forming through holes by a subulate needle with a predetermined space along the designed figure on the cloth and forming a feeling of full variety such as decoloring or napping by disarranging fiber condition around the through holes in a step of dying, washing or agitating in a liquid.
