PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a mounting part of an ultrasonic vibrator while shortening the length of a hard part in the axial direction thereof on the distal end side of a contact coil by forming a vibrator mounting part on the contact coil for relatively driving the ultrasonic vibrator by remote control in a rotary type ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic vibrator 22 is mounted in a tip cap 21 of a probe body 11 which has the distal end cap 21 linked to the distal end of a flexible sleeve 20 and the ultrasonic vibrator mounting part 24 is formed on the ultrasonic vibrator 22 by hardening the distal end part of the contact coil 23 by soldering 30, once after the coil is deformed under compression with a press means or the like and furthermore, the mounting surface 24a of the vibrator mounting part 24 is made flat with an adhesive 31 to fasten the ultrasonic vibrator 22 thereon. Likewise, the distal end part of the contact coil 23 and a hard cylinder part 25 undergo the hardening treatment so as to be slidably kept in contact with a sliding bearing 26 mounted on the internal surface of the flexible sleeve 20.
