PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent waving rod rotation device for remarkably improving work efficiency when rolling up hair. SOLUTION: A connecting part 9 for connecting a hair presser member 8 for pressing the hair to a permanent waving rod 2 is formed at the base end part of a supporting axis 4 for mounting and supporting the rod 2. A connection means 9 is provided with a coil spring 17 being a pressing means for pressing the hair presser member 8 to the rod 2, and a cam block 15 and a cam roller 19 being a pressing releasing means for releasing pressing by the pressing means to separate the hair presser member 8 from the rod 2.
