METHOD OF SCREENING USING FISH EMBRYO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for screening chemical substances that can be replaced with the living body test with saved labor. SOLUTION: A plurality of wells 5 are provided on a plate 4 made of a clear material. Individual wells 5 are filled with a liquid that can develop fish embryo and a chemical substance to be tested. The fish embryo is soaked in the well 5 and the embryo is developped as a solid after a certain period of time at a predetermined temperature. In the case that the chemical substance tested gives adverse effect on the embryo, it is deformed or killed.
