PURPOSE: An apparatus for sensing an angle and the number of revolution of a steering wheel is provided to accurately sense the angle and the number of revolution of the steering wheel by attaching image patterns without making holes, thereby easily making the apparatus and correcting the position of patterns. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sensing an angle and the number of revolution of a steering wheel includes a disk(10) rotating corresponding to steering wheel rotation of an automobile and having comparison pattern regularly arranged with reference image patterns every rotational angle; a reflective light detecting sensor(40) radiating light to the rotating disk and detecting reflected from the reference and comparison image patterns; and a signal processor(30) receiving the detected signal from the reflective light detecting sensor(40) for comparing the number of the comparison image pattern signals with the number of the reference image patterns to measure an angle and the number of revolution of a steering wheel.
