PURPOSE: To execute a desired polishing process according to an instruction of an arbitrary program by only calling the program by setting working conditions of various kinds of polishing processes to the program in advance. CONSTITUTION: The center of a turntable 30 moves along a circular locus C having a smaller diameter than a center axis of a rotating disc 20 with the center axis as a center, and thereby revolves around a center point O and rotates according to the rotation of the rotating disc 20. A polishing holder 60 holds a connector of an optical fiber to be polished by a polishing film 41 arranged on an upper surface of the turntable 30. A control device 80 for controlling a motor 16 for rotation and a motor 14 for the revolution of the turntable 30 is provided with a memory 85 for preserving a control program to execute the polishing processes determined in advance.
