PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing toy which does not bore a player easily by enabling the player to enjoy the toy not only as the fishing toy but as a game of remote-controlling the toy with a touch and a visual sense of fishing the toy body vibrating and rocking. SOLUTION: The fishing toy consists of a fishing rod provided with a gripping part to which the fishing rod is fitted, a suspended line to be extended through the fishing rod and a toy body fishing means fitted to the tip of the suspended line, the toy body which models on fish, etc., to be fished by the toy body fishing means and which is provided with a power source, a driving means for driving by the power source and an operation switch for varying the driving state of the driving means, and the toy body formed modeling on fish, etc. The fishing rod has an operation means for varying the driving velocity of the driving means provided to the toy body and a transmission means for transmitting operation information operated by the operation means to the toy body. The toy body has a receiving means for receiving the information from the fishing rod.
