PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cooking appliance in which an elastic cap having a relatively large thickness, such as a rubber, is easily insertable into a through hole formed in a coupling which is fixed to an end of an axis of a motor. SOLUTION: According to the electric cooking appliance, a cap 33 is inserted into the through hole 30 formed in the coupling 27 which is fixed to the end of the axis 31 of the motor 22, and the cap 33 has an enlarged-diameter portion 34 which has a larger diameter than the bore of the through hole 30. Then, a thinned-thickness portion 36 is formed in the enlarged-diameter portion 34. Thus, when the cap 33 is inserted into the through hole 30, deformation of the thinned-thickness portion 36 allows air to be released, which leads to easy insertion of the cap 33.
