PURPOSE: To facilitate wrapping work of an insulating paper at the time of manufacturing a coil. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for manufacturing a coil 11b by winding an insulating paper 21 around the coil 11b, an arithmetic means which calculates the outer diameter increment of the coil 11b by using the number of turns of the coil 11b and at least the outer diameter of a wire 14 of the coil 11b, a press member 10 which presses a winding start part 12 of the insulating paper 21, and a press member moving mechanism 98 which moves the press member 10 to the winding start part 12 of the insulating paper 21 on the basis of the calculated result of the arithmetic means are installed. |
