PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the occupancy area of an optical switch in an optical communication network apparatus using mechanical optical switches increases and the space saving of the optical communication network apparatus is not achieved, because an optical switch assembly becomes large according to the number of mechanical optical switches to be used when manufacturing the optical switch assembly in which a plurality of mechanical optical switches are connected in a multistage or in parallel. SOLUTION: A plurality of mechanical optical switch mechanism parts are arranged in one case. Input/output side optical fibers attached to each mechanical optical switch mechanism part is individually drawn outside the case, and the input/output side optical fibers are switched. Thereby, a small optical switch and a small optical switch assembly having optical paths of n×m and n'×m' is provided. |
