PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical antenna of a very light weight by limiting the use of an expensive dielectric substrate excellent in frequency characteristic. SOLUTION: In the antenna provided with; a reflecting plate; a dipole element placed nearly in parallel with the reflecting plate in front of the reflecting plate; and first and second parasitic elements placed substantially in parallel with the dipole element with an interval from the dipole element at a side of the dipole element opposite to the reflecting plate, when the first and second parasitic elements are projected on a face on which the dipole element is placed, the dipole element is placed so that one open end overlaps with a projected face of the first parasitic element and the other open end overlaps with a projected face of the second parasitic element, and the first and second parasitic elements satisfy a relation ofλ0<=L<=2λ0, where L is a circumference length andλ0 is a free space wavelength equivalent to the operating frequency.
