PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening group of images with which a single image recognizing method can be utilized for the purpose of screening images in a group. SOLUTION: In this method for screening group of images, first of all, a parameter table is provided with a plurality of item sets and a minimum number of images to be matched to the parameter and recognizing state of the single image recognizing method is stored in each of item sets. Then, a number of images to be screened and a group recognition rate are received and corresponding to the number of images and the group recognition rate, any item set is selected from the parameter table. The single image recognizing method is set by the parameter in the selected item set, and the images are screened by the single image recognizing method. Finally, when a number of images matched to the recognition is equal to or more than the minimum number of images in the selected item set, the group of images is recognized as an object group.
