PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit the insurance period of an insurance contract to a period that a user desires through a simple procedure and to adjust an insurance premium according to the hours of the insurance period, actions of the user, etc. SOLUTION: When a start application is sent from a user's portable telephone set 100 to an insurance contract computer 300 as to the insurance contract having contents that the user and an insurance company agree to, the insurance contract computer 300 starts the insurance period and when a stop application is sent, the insurance period is stopped. The insurance premium is calculated from the hours of the insurance period. Various information for troublesome input to be submitted to the insurance company when the insurance contract is made is previously registered in a storage device 400 connected, so the operations of the portable telephone set 100 for the start and stop applications are easy. The portable telephone set 100 has a positioning function and can periodically inform the insurance contract computer 300 of the current position. The insurance contract computer 300 computes the movement distance of the user from the position and adjusts the insurance premium.
