PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) resin raw material having less volatile component in processes such as a heating, vacuum, pressurizing and molding process, etc., and a PPS resin film. SOLUTION: This polyphenylene sulfide resin has <=0.1 wt.% volatile component on heating it at 250 deg.C. The method for producing the resin is provided by supplying the polyphenylene sulfide resin and an entrainer to an extruder, removing the entrainer and then melting and extruding the polyphenylene sulfide resin, and more concretely, supplying the polyphenylene sulfide resin and the entrainer such as water, N-methylpyrrolidone, ethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, etc., to the extruder, removing the entrainer and then melting and extruding the polyphenylene sulfide resin. The polyphenylene sulfide film is obtained by deaerating the obtained resin under vacuum and then melting and film- forming. |
