PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide colored glass which is hardly faded, and is utilizable for colored flat glass or the like, to provide a method for producing (coloring) glass which is completely different from the conventional method, and to provide a recycling method for the obtained glass. SOLUTION: The silicate glass has a composition containing at least one kind of introduction component selected from the groups consisting of Ti, V, Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Zn, Ga, In, Ge, Bi, Au, Pt, Ag, Sn and Eu, and further containing, by weight, 65 to 80% SiO2 , 5 to 15% CaO, 5 to 20% Na2 O and 0 to 3% Al2 O3 , and in which the whole or at least a part is colored into brown.
