PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital reception system that can obtain excellent reception characteristics even under an environment with multi-path fading such as in a mobile reception environment particularly even in the case of the mode 3 mobile reception. SOLUTION: In the digital reception system of this invention, a receiver for receiving an OFDM-modulated transmission signal of a digital transmission system is provided with a means 108 that detects the frequency characteristics of a signal received by the receiver to apply frequency band equalization to the signal and with a time band equalization means 110 that detects the amplitude phase characteristics in a symbol from the frequency band equalization signal and corrects them. The receiver applies the frequency band equalization to the received signal, then applies time band equalization and applies FFT processing to the resulting signal after that to demodulate the signal.
