PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking nozzle for fluid jet loom enabling high-speed picking through preventing the convergence of a jet fluid from getting poor due to swirling and diffusion of the jet fluid. SOLUTION: This picking nozzle has the following structure: an inner side component having an open hole for weft is inserted into an outer side component, a circular flow path with the cross-section area decreasing toward the downstream side is formed coaxially by the aid of both the components, and a plurality of inlet holes through which a high-pressure fluid is introduced into the circular flow path are arranged at equiangular intervals around the axis; the circular flow path is provided with axially extending multiple straightening walls and straightening grooves (double or greater the inlet holes) at equiangular intervals around the axis; both the inner side component and outer side component are combined with each other so that the straightening walls or straightening grooves coincide with the positions of the inlet holes around the axis.
