PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely record an information signal outputted from an information signal reproducing apparatus even when an information signal recording apparatus is integrated with an information signal reproducing apparatus. SOLUTION: At least either one of a reproducing error in a first disk-shaped recording medium or a recording error in a second disk-shaped recording medium is detected, and the operation of a recording system and a reproducing system is suspended on the basis of the detection so as to detect the position of the first disk-shaped recording medium where the error has occurred during reproduction. The reproducing system restarts reproduction from a starting point obtained on the basis of the detection result. New compressed data obtained after the restart of the reproduction are written in a storage means. The new compressed data are read from the storage means, and the recording system restarts recording on the second disk-shaped recording medium.
