PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester sewing thread having high strength, excellent flexibility and an excellent appearance. SOLUTION: This sewing thread is constituted of a polyester filament A having 0.75-1.20 intrinsic viscosity and 0.16-0.20 double refractive index and a polyester filament B having 0.5-0.70 intrinsic viscosity and 0.08-0.14 double refractive index. The amount of the polyester filament B mixed is 5-30 wt.% based on the total weight of the sewing thread and the strength of the sewing thread is 4.05-6.3 g/dtex.
