PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the learning of a vehicular automatic transmission capable of preventing generation of the tie-up and improving the gear-shift speed during the up-shift process by generating a minute overrun in the down-shift process. SOLUTION: The quantity of the overrun generated in the down-shift process is calculated during the up-shift process, and the calculated quantity of the generated overrun is judged whether it is more or less than a set standard value. Then the quantity of correction of the learning operated based on the calculated quantity of the generated overrun is added to or subtracted from the hydraulic pressure duty of a friction element connected on the downward gear shifting. |
