SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROPERLY REPRODUCING REPRODUCTION DATA BY USING ATTRIBUTE INFORMATION OF REPRODUCTION DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction device capable of arbitrarily changing the output system of video data based on video data attributes applied to the video data at the time of displaying the video data. SOLUTION: Video data to be reproduced are stored in the file of a video title set(VTS) 72 ensured in an information recording area 28 of an optical disk 10. The leading area of the VTS 72 is described with VTS information(VTSI) 94 for managing the VTS 72. The VTSI 94 is provided with a table (VTSI- MAT) 98 for controlling the VTSI 94, and the VTSI- MAT 98 is described with attributes (VTS- V- ATR) specific to the video data stored in the VTS 72. Thus, video data to be reproduced can be set by a reproduction system by referring to the VTSI- MAT.
