<p>The invention concerns a method for transmitting and restoring a multimedia message (6) between a source and a standardized mobile terminal (1) of a network (2), the multimedia message received by the mobile terminal being processed in standardized manner by at least a message restoring programme (12) of the terminal so as to be restored on at least a user interface, the multimedia message being transmitted in a message envelope (22) in accordance with a standardized protocol. The invention is characterised in that the method consists in transmitting in the envelope (22) the multimedia message (6) and in associating with it at least an owner instruction (8, 9), and in a mobile terminal wherein has been previously incorporated an owner detection routine (5) and an owner message processing programme (16), the routine detects the presence of the owner instruction (8), transmits the instruction and the message to the processing programme, which executes the instruction and sends the message at a time specified by the instruction to the restoring programme. The message can be restored when the terminal is placed in standby mode. Specific errors can be introduced in the envelope and/or the message and detected by the processing programme.</p> |
