Device for testing degree of viscosity of embedding substance used in production of artificial dentures

The device is assembled of a base (A) in the shape of the lower jaw and four metal elements (B) representing the remaining rudimentary teeth. Each of the teeth (B) is designed as a hexagonal wider lower segment and a hexagonal narrower slightly tapered upper segment with a horizontal step between them. For testing a particular concentration of the embedding substance the dental technician covers the top area of the teeth (B) with the appropriate amount and proceeds with the molding as usual. If the resulting object does not fit on top of the teeth (B) the procedure has to be repeated with a slightly changed mix until the result meets the requirements.
