System for input of data into a digital broadband network (4), whereby the network is supplied from a head station (2) and whereby the head station has at least one playback device (3) for a digital information carrier (1). The information on the information carrier is encrypted so that the data can only be played back by authorized playback devices in the head station and if so combined with other available data in a data service. Independent claims are included for an information carrier or medium, a playback device and a method for operating the system.
