The invention relates to a product with bristles, comprising a bristle suppo rt (12) and bristles (2) connected thereto. At least some of the bristles are combined in bristle groups (4) in which the distance between the bristles is less than the distance (x) between the geometrical centres of adjacent brist le groups. A product with bristles of this type is characterised in that the distance (x) of the geometrical centre of at least one bristle group (4) fro m the geometrical centre of at least one adjacent bristle group (4) is essentially the same as or greater than the product of the average number of bristles (2) in the two bristle groups and the diameter (d) of these bristle s. This configuration and arrangement enable the working ends of the bristles o f these bristle groups to be arranged linearly in the direction of brushing an d penetrate narrow gaps and recesses, independently of their fixing surface on the bristle support.
