PURPOSE: To provide an electric power unit which can be stably operated relating to a high load even in the case of low input voltage. CONSTITUTION: An I/F microcomputer 5 is driven by output voltage from a voltage converter circuit 4 boosting an output of a DC power source 2, to output a start signal for starting a control IC 9. A switch 7 is conducted when the start signal from the control IC 9 is received, to apply the output voltage from the voltage converter circuit 4 to the control IC 9. A delay circuit 8 delays for a fixed time the start signal from the I/F microcomputer 5 supplied to the control IC 9. Action control relating to a voltage output part 10 is started. A voltage converter circuit 11 boosting the output voltage of the DC power source 2 to output voltage of 5 V has a constitution provided with a charge pump circuit.
