A double-sided adhesive strip where one of the two adhesive layers has a nonadhesive coating, which, for bonding the adhesive strip between two sites or flaps is partially removed from the adhesive strip, so that it is bonded between the two sites or flaps of the carton or carton-like package and the part of the coating not removed from the adhesive strip lies between the two sites or flaps is new. Use of a double-sided adhesive strip for opening and closing packaging cartons, where one of the two adhesive layers of the double-sided adhesive strip has a nonadhesive coating, which, for bonding the adhesive strip between two sites or flaps is partially removed from the adhesive strip, so that it is bonded between the two sites or flaps of the carton or carton-like package and the part of the coating not removed from the adhesive strip lies between the two sites or flaps is new.
