METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING ORTHOGONAL CODE INFORMATION ASSIGNED IN USER DATA IN HSDPA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving orthogonal code information assigned in user data in an HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) communication system is provided to transmit and receive OVSF(Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor) code information assigned in the user data to be transmitted to a UE(User Equipment) using a logical identifier on an OVSF code information table. CONSTITUTION: A scheduler(402) determines a transmission time of user data and an OVSF code used for transmitting the user data with reference to the quality of the user data of other UEs or kinds of the user data. The scheduler(402) retrieves an OVSF code information table(409), detects a logical identifier corresponding to an OVSF code used for transmitting the user data, and outputs the detected logical identifier to a control information generator(406). An AMC(Adaptive Modulation and Coding) controller(401) outputs determined MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level information to the control information generator(406). The control information generator(406) converts logical identifiers corresponding to MCS level information and OVSF code information into a format suitable for a radio channel. A channel encoder(407) performs a channel encoding about control information outputted from the control information generator(406), and outputs channel-encoded control information to a control data transmitter(408). The control data transmitter(408) modulates and channelizes channel-encoded control information outputted from the channel encoder(407), and transmits channelized control information to a corresponding UE through the radio link.
