PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card type handy ball point pen with a through hole, which is simple in structure and, at the same time, the lead of a ball point pen is surely held between a stationary member and a folding member. SOLUTION: In the card type handy ball point pen, in which the stationary member 1A and the folding member 1B form a square card and the lead 2 of the ball point pen is fixed onto the diagonal of the card so as to hold the lead 2 of the ball point pen by being pinched between the stationary member 1A and the folding member 1B in order to write characters or draw pictures with the lead point 2A of the ball point pen projected outside beyond the stationary member 1A, a through hole 1D is provided in the holding part of the stationary member 1A of the folding member 1B.
