PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary disc type machining tool capable of changing at least either of machining width and machining angle and corresponding to the change of machining conditions speedily. SOLUTION: This rotary disc type machining tool 1 is provided with a disclike base metal unit 2, a segment 8 and an abrasive material layer 4 mounted through a universal joint 3 in a peripheral fringe part of the base metal unit 2, and a slit 9 and a screw 4 restraining the universal joint 3. The universal joint 3 is composed of a spherical hole 5 in the peripheral fringe part of the base metal unit 2, a spherical body 6 arranged turnably in the spherical hole 5, and a support shaft 7 connected continuously with the spherical body 6. By mounting each segment 8 on an outer peripheral face of the base metal unit 2 through the universal joint 3, the attitude of the segment 8 can be changed to change machining width and machining angle.
