PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vehicle speed pulses from a vehicle speed sensor from being generated frequently causing an increase in number of interrupt processes and hindering control of assist forces. SOLUTION: This power steering device includes: an electric motor 30 for generating the assist forces for the operation of turning a steering wheel; the vehicle speed sensor 41 generating pulses according to vehicle speed which is an operating condition of the vehicle; a control means for performing the interrupt processes according to the pulses generated by the vehicle speed sensor and for measuring the cycle of the pulses by means of a register 13 or the like and determining, according to the cycle measured, a current conducted by the electric motor; and an interrupt inhibiting means for inhibiting the execution of the interrupt process when the number of interrupt processes triggered by the vehicle speed pulses generated within the time interval of the execution of a main routine has reached a predetermined number or more. |
