PURPOSE: An apparatus for transiting the state of a PN(Pseudo Noise) sequence is provided to transit the state of the PN sequence into a state forward or a state backward without supplying a specific clock. CONSTITUTION: I-channel and Q-channel LFSRs(Linear Feedback Shift Registers)(511,551) have the most front end registers(521) for storing feedback values of values of the most rear end registers(523) when a PN generator clock is inputted, and the first connection units in which registers are directly connected for shifting values of front end registers when the PN generator clock is inputted. The I-channel and Q-channel LFSRs(511,551) have the second connection units in which exclusive OR gates are connected between the front end registers and the rear end registers for outputting exclusive OR values of the outputs of the front end registers. I-channel and Q-channel state forward logics(513,553) output the outputs of the registers composed in the first connection units, connect the outputs of the front end registers and the outputs of the most rear end registers(523) to exclusive OR gates, output exclusive OR values, and transit the outputs of the I-channel and Q-channel LFSRs(511,551) into a state forward. I-channel and Q-channel state backward logics output the outputs of the registers composed in the first connection units, connect the outputs of the front end registers and the outputs of the most front end registers(521) to exclusive OR gates, output exclusive OR values, and transit the outputs of the I-channel and Q-channel LFSRs(511,551) into a state backward.
