PURPOSE: A telephone for transmitting and receiving a character message during a conversation is provided to transmit and receive the character message with an object through a keypad while a user performs the telephone call with the object. CONSTITUTION: Tone decoder and character driving circuits(105,115) are added to conventional telephone functions(102,112). If a user wants to talk using a character message during a voice telephone call, the user pushes a button of a keypad(101). The tone decoder and character driving circuit(115) of an object detects an encoding-tone of the pushed button, composes a character and numerical message according to a sequence combination of the push of the keypad(101), converts the character and numerical message into a character font of a display device(117), and displays the character and numerical message. |
