PURPOSE: A portable ink-jet printer is provided to carry out a printer assembled in a box type, thereby printing paper at any time, any where through interface with a mobile telephone. CONSTITUTION: A portable ink-jet printer includes a case type printer main body(10) having a paper supply port(11) for supplying paper, and a paper discharge port(13) opposite to the paper supply port; a printing unit(20) installed inside the printer main body and printing an image on the paper supplied through the paper supply port; a pickup unit(30) installed at the paper supply port for picking up the paper to the printing unit; a discharge unit(40) installed at the paper discharge port for discharging the paper passing the printing unit; a supply paper tray(50) movably installed in the printer main body to open and shut the paper supply port, and in which papers to be picked up by the pickup unit are loaded; and a discharge tray(60) movably installed in the printer main body to open and shut the paper discharge port, and in which the print paper discharged by the discharge unit are loaded.
