PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity purchase and settlement system and its method, by which commodities can simply be purchased and settled up by using a mobile terminal. SOLUTION: A user is urged to input settlement information by the mobile terminal, the inputted settlement information is examined by a card company, and the examination result is obtained by a server 10. A user ID is prepared based on the obtained examination result, and the user ID is stored in the memory of the terminal 30,. The user is urged to input a desired password by the terminal 30, and the inputted password, the user ID and the settlement information are related to each other and stored in the memory of the server 10 to be registered. Next, commodity information is displayed on the terminal 30, and the user is urged to select a commodity and to input the password. The user ID stored in the memory of the terminal 30 is read, and authentication is performed by the server based on the password and the user ID. When the user is authenticated by this authentication, settlement is performed with respect to the selected commodity. |
