PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electrical contract having low insertion force, free of maximum point on the insertion force, and used suitably as a contact for a coaxial connector. SOLUTION: This electrical contact includes a plate-shaped contact 100 and a tuning-fork shaped contact 200. The plate-shaped contact 100 comprises a beam base part 110 held on an insulator 300 into a cantilever like beam, and a contact connecting part 120 connected to a tip of the beam base part 110. The tuning-fork shaped contact 200 comprises a backbone part 210 held on an insulator 400, and two contact connecting beams 220, 230 forked from a tip of the backbone part, and is mounted in a state of its central axis being fitted to that of the plate-shaped contact 100, and the arrangement direction of the contact connecting beams 220, 230 is inclined to both faces of the contact connecting part 120. The tips of the contact connecting beams 220, 230 are provided with inclined planes 221, 231 for introduction, and contact holding regions 222, 232 are formed at the depth of the inclined planes. The plate-shaped contact 100 is inserted and twisted therebetween to be pressed and contacted.
