PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine whose temperature rise of the rotor winding is uniform. SOLUTION: Snaked air duct 17a, 17b and 17c are constituted on both side surface parts of rotor winding end parts 8a, 8b 8c and 8d, by disposing respective spacers 16a, 16b and 16c between straight line parts 9a, 9b, 9c and 9d, respectively. Further, respective snaked air ducts 23a, 23b and 23c having respective sectional areas Si, Sm and So, respectively, are constituted on both side surface parts, by disposing respective spacers 22a, 22b and 22c between connecting parts 10a, 10b, 10c and 10d. Respective snaked air duct 23a, 23b and 23c are constituted in order to satisfy a relation: So=(1.25-2.5)×Si Herein, provided that: Si<Sm<So.
