PURPOSE: A water recycling system of a washing machine and a method for controlling the same are provided to remove the heavy metals or impurities contained in the washing water in the process of circulation of the water for recycling, thereby reducing detergent consumption. CONSTITUTION: A water recycling system of a washing machine includes an electric condensing unit(10) provided to a lower part of a water tub(70) for condensing heavy metals and impurities contained in the washing water received in the water tub to convert into floc having magnetic characteristics by condensing, a floc filtering unit(20) for separating the floc from the water passing through the electric condensing unit, and a re-injection unit for supplying the purified water passing through the electric condensing unit and the floc filtering unit to the water tub. |
