PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that highly accurately detects the toner supply device of a developing device is empty of toner and that is free of image formation failure and detecting failure. SOLUTION: When the concentration of developer in the developing container is lower than a limit value (L), the image forming device determines no more toner is left in the toner storage container. The image forming device has a means for detecting a quantity of toner remaining in the toner storage container, and an alarming means which, when the toner remaining in the toner storage container becomes equal to or smaller than a fixed quantity, gives a signal indicating that the remaining quantity is small. The limit value (L) is effective as long as the signal indicating the small quantity of remaining toner is being given. |
