PURPOSE: A mobile communication system for processing packet data is provided to reduce the data processing load of a selector/vocoder and process a high-speed data packet at the maximum 2.4576Mpbs by classifying a selector/vocoder for processing voice packet data or data packet data and a selector for processing a high-speed data packet of an 1xEV-DO(1x Enhanced Version-Data Only). CONSTITUTION: An MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(29) connects to a base station. A PCF(Packet Control Function)(28) processes packet data and transmits the processed packet data to a PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node). A selector/vocoder(24) and a temporary storing unit(25) process and store the packet data in inter-different paths according to a kind of data. A selector preprocessor(26) connects to the MSC(29) and the PCF(28) and controls a path so that the path is configured to the selector/vocoder(24) and the temporary storing unit(25) according to a kind of data. A CPU(23) controls that the packet data are transmitted to the selector/vocoder(24), the temporary storing unit(25), or a base station according to a kind of the transmitted and received data. |
