PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium to be manufactured with high yield and productivity where a high recording density is achieved and good recording/ reproducing characteristics are obtained, regarding various optical media such as MD and a DVD, its manufacturing method, a master disk for the optical recording medium and a molding stamper, and manufacturing methods thereof, and further the recording/reproducing method of the optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 10 having at least a pit 87 and a wobble land 7 on a substrate 1 is constructed in such a manner that the wobble land 7 is formed at least in a recording region, the pit 8 is formed as a recessed and projected pattern, a thin-film light transmissive protective film 6 sufficiently thin compared with the substrate 1 is formed by setting the land surface 7S of the wobble land 7 as an information recording surface and covering this information recording surface, the light transmissive projective film 6 side is set as the incident surface of an illumination light with respect to the information recording surface. |
