PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate monitoring cameras which are installed under various conditions by the same system, and to achieve a monitoring camera control apparatus capable of flexibly dealing with situations including night photographing and construction of the system. SOLUTION: The monitoring camera control apparatus for controlling a plurality of cameras remotely is provided with the monitoring cameras connected to a leased line, and the monitoring cameras connected to a general-purpose communication line. The apparatus is also provided with a matrix switcher for inputting image signals from the monitoring cameras, and a camera control section for selecting the image signals to be outputted from the matrix switcher.
