PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax a limitation that the image data of wallpaper becoming the background of a waiting screen can be changed only by operation in a present station, in a wireless portable terminal capable of receiving an electronic mail and having a display part capable of displaying an image. SOLUTION: A control part 7 for controlling the operation of a radio part 2, a voice CODEC3, an operating part 6, a storage part and a display part 10 is configured to update sent image data as wallpaper of the waiting picture and to display these data when the electronic mail is received from the caller of a mail address previously registered as an automatic wallpaper updating person.
