PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device with film heating method equalizing temperature distribution in the longitudinal direction in the vicinity of a connecting part between a body for supporting a heating body and a member for regulating film position and preventing deterioration and failure of the heating device due to a local high temperature when dually conveying thick paper. SOLUTION: This heating device has the heating body 3, the body 1 for supporting the heating body, the film 2 contacting/sliding on the heating body, a pressing member for driving the film and closely fitting an object to be heated on the heating body via the film and a member 6 for regulating the film position at the longitudinal end of the heating body and heats the object by holdingly conveying the film and the object together on a nip part formed by the heating body and the pressing member. A spaceαof the connecting part between the body 1 for supporting the heating body and the member 6 for regulating the film position is not orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the heating body 3, or more specifically, the spaceαis aslant to the longitudinal direction of the heating body 3 or has a comb-shape.
