PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely protect a battery from big impact added at an accident like collision. SOLUTION: The power source device houses batteries 2 for driving an automobile motor in a case 3. A battery housing part 3A and an impact absorbing part 3B are arranged to the case 3. The battery housing part 3A houses batteries 2, and the impact absorbing part 3B of which, fracture strength is made weaker than that of the battery housing part 3A, is made to adjoin the battery housing part 3A. The power source device is mounted to an automobile. When the automobile collides by accident, and big impact is added to the case 3, the power source device protects the battery housing part 3A by breaking the impact absorbing part 3B, namely, the battery housing part 3A is safely protected by using the impact absorbing part 3B as a buffer part against the impact. |
