PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document file managing system in which a document file utilized for preparing a certain document file and a document file utilizing the certain document file are checked when preparing the certain document file. SOLUTION: A document file managing server 2 is coupled communicable with a large number of user terminals 6 through a communication network 4. The server 2 acquires information on copy and paste work carried out in the editing work of the document file in each of user terminals 6 from each of user terminals 6 and records it on an editing work history file. A copy source file name, a copy destination file name, a copy date and a copier name or the like are recorded in the editing work history file. In response to a request from the user terminal 6, the server 2 provides the recorded information in the editing work history file to that requesting user terminal 6. |
