PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetron with restrained magnetic flux loss, small size, and lightweight, having an oscillation frequency ranging from 400 to 600 MHz. SOLUTION: The magnetron is formed into a structure of avoiding magnetic flux loss even for such a structure that the outer diameter D1 of a resonant cavity is bigger than the outer diameter D2 of a permanent magnet 4, by making the outer diameter D2 of a permanent magnet 4 smaller than the outer diameter 3 of a magnetic pole 5 and the outer diameter D3 of a sealing body 13. A welding ring 12, suitably made of the same material as that of the sealing plate 10, is interposed between a sealing plate 10 and the sealing body 13, and the welding ring 12 and the sealing plate 10 are welded by arc welding, and vacuum sealing property is heightened by brazing the welding ring 12 and the sealing body 13 with silver solder which is suitable for brazing.
